This session provides an introduction to machine shop practices and tools presented by Martin Nagy.

This is a 3 hour class is for students with little or no shop or machine experience. Students will work on lathe, mill, grind, and saw operations. It will prepare you to take the more advanced 'Shop Practices' classes.

Class will be held in the BIC machine shop. Wear shop appropriate clothes (pants, closed shoes) - bring paper/pen to take notes - and be ready to work on machines in the shop.

Please note: Depending on participant's knowledge and comfortability with the machines used in this class, there is a chance the class might go over 3 hours. It would be wise for you to not schedule anything else directly after this class.

DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU HAVE TAKEN THE PREREQUISITE: 'BIC Shop Safety' class
