Intro to Shop Practices.

The BIC Shop Practices class is 9 total hours of work in the shop on Lathe (3 hr) , Mill (3 hr) , and Bench (3 hr) practices. To complete the class you must complete each of the 3 hr sessions. After completion of all three classes you will have access to the BIC Machine Shop.

Each 3 hour Shop Practices session will enroll 3 students, 1 on each of the lathe, mill, and bench stations. Keep signing up for the sessions you have not completed until you have all three.

This event is for the Lathe work practices, see the other events for Mill and Bench.

The class is conducted entirely in the machine shop so come with long pants, closed shoes, hair tied back, and be ready to work and learn!

Please note: Depending on participant's knowledge and comfortability with the machines used in this class, there is a chance the class might go over 3 hours. It would be wise for you to not schedule anything else directly after this class.

THIS CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH:
DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU HAVE TAKEN BOTH THE REQUIRED PREREQUISITES: BIC Shop Safety AND BIC Intro to Shop
